The Team

Ashley Fields

As the founder of The Carried Away, Ashley has always hoped to create a self-sustaining community made up of writers, readers, and dreamers who collaboratively explore the intersecting channels of media, literature, and life. As an American expat living in the Netherlands, she works under the Carried Away brand as a freelance editor and writer.

Ashley is first and foremost a reader. Getting carried away is the act of letting literature take you to a place of creativity, provocation, and inspiration.

When I don’t have my nose buried in a book, you can find me watching Game of Thrones or a horror film.
